Revolutionizing Infection Control In The National Health Service
In a joint study with Synergy Healthcare supervised by Professor Curtis Gemmell, Byotrol has been working to bring new standards of hygiene to the UK's National Health Service. In a year long study, the biggest of its kind ever undertaken in the UK, Byotrol was compared directly with the existing gold standard, a hypochlorite bleach.
Two wards were cleaned with Byotrol and two were cleaned with bleach. Half way through the study the products were crossed-over to the opposite wards to avoid any structural bias. Over 1,600 swabs were taken and the number of Total Viable Counts were analyzed; the results were quite incredible. Byotrol out-performed the gold standard by over 40%.
