Monroe Hospital Goes Greener...
And Eliminates the Green

A positive image is vital for medical facilities and begins the moment patients pull into the parking lot. Poorly maintained exteriors and dilapidated buildings quickly undermine visitor confidence and keeping them in a pristine condition is important to create a good first impression. Removing the staining caused by mold, mildew and algae can be costly and time-consuming, and often needs to be repeated throughout the year.
Monroe Hospital in Bloomington, Indiana has 98,000 square feet of buildings and had a big problem with algae turning their exteriors green. Typical cleaning took muliple facilities people, weeks of hard work and the product cost was in the thousands. James Ballard, Director of Infection Control, contacted Byotrol back in 2007 and within weeks they started an exterior trial with Byotrol. One facilities person was able to apply the Byotrol Buildings & Grounds Cleaner and Protector in about 3 hours with a normal garden hose and a simple sprayer attachment, and the process is repeated every 6 months to keep the buildings in tip-top condition.
James was impressed, “We have loved the products right from initial testing and use. We especially love the product's versatility ranging from hand hygiene, surface disinfection, cleaning stains from mold/mildew/algae and extended surface protection".
Byotrol products have saved Monroe Hospital thousands of dollars in labor and have eliminated the harsh chemicals used previously. More importantly, Byotrol has helped to enhance the perception of Monroe to the thousands of visitors and patients who see the hospital monthly.
