Dr. Gary Millar Appointment CEO of Byotrol plc

The Board of Byotrol plc, the leading anti-microbial hygiene company, is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Gary Millar as the Company's new Chief Executive Officer. Dr. Millar will join the Company on 1 April 2010.

 

Dr. Millar, aged 48, has a PhD in Biochemistry from Glasgow University. He started his career with ICI plc, where he held several senior managerial positions.

 

In 1998 Dr. Millar joined the Foseco division of Burmah Castrol plc as Supply Chain Director and was subsequently appointed Operations Director of Foseco Jersey Ltd, a private equity backed MBO, which floated on the London Stock Exchange in 2005. Between 2005 - 2007, Dr Millar was Managing Director of Foseco Steel UK Ltd. In 2007 Dr Millar was appointed Group Services Director of Foseco plc, and was a member of Foseco plc’s Executive Committee, where he played a key role in Foseco’s merger with Cookson plc.

 

In 2008 Dr. Millar founded A K Business Management Limited, a management consultancy providing strategic marketing and operational business solutions to UK SMEs.

 

Dr. Millar is a full member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing and is a member of the Institute of Directors.

 

David McRobbie, Byotrol’s current CEO, will remain on the Company board with responsibility for the important US operations, and will re-locate to the USA later this year as CEO of Byotrol Inc.
